The Pirate’s song

If I had a choice I think I’d love being a Pirate - plundering vessels and charming women on the high seas of the Caribbean. My friends all agree that this would have been the right vocation for me. Pity I was born three centuries too late…

At least I can write poetry about it : )
The Pirate’s Song \ Mike Darnell 2005
Many twists, Fate has yet in store
The more we sail, the more I long for you more
The wind and brine have made me calloused and sore
This vessel longs for a harbor to shore

You are all I need to be me

My ship is lost in the sea of your eyes
My body wrecked by the storm of your thighs
That’s how you pry the truth from the lies
and deep inside my insecurity dies

You are all I need to be me

My duty calls, I’m a pirate at heart
This buckaneer now must go play his part
and though I know there’s no course on the chart
leaving you is how this journey must start

I am all you need to be you
