Agripas 12 Gallery

A cooperative Israeli art gallery in Jerusalem

Agripas 12 is a cooperative gallery and art center that was established in April of 2004 in Jerusalem by a group of fifteen Israeli artists for the sole purpose of presenting and displaying art. The gallery is funded and run by the artists in order to free itself from the restrictions and considerations that often motivate commercial galleries. As of 2006 the gallery has been operating as an officially recognized non profit organization.

Barbur Gallery

A colaborative Israeli art gallery in Jerusalem


The spartan Barbur art gallery is located in the middle of a small street in the heart of Jerusalem's Nachlaot neighborhood. Founded in 2005, the five owners of the Barbur gallery see it as a space for art from the local community, and also as a space to create new art communities through their own initiatives and those of others. Exhibitions held at the gallery are meant to promote artists that might not necessarily gain attention or exposure in the Israeli art scene otherwise.

Bineth Gallery

An Israeli art gallery


Run by David and Rodi Bineth, children of the gallery's original founder, Gershon Bineth, the Bineth gallery that was fist who founded in Jerusalem in 1962. Today it is a three hundred square meters exhibition space situated in the heart of Tel Aviv. The gallery's size allows for the display of extensive rotating exhibitions, alongside the gallery’s permanent collection.

"D and A" is an Israeli photography gallery located on 57 Yehuda Halevi street in Tel Aviv.

The gallery was established by two Israeli photographers who decided to dedicate their passion for photography to the opening of a gallery dedicated entirely to contemporary Israeli photography. The two, Daniela Orvin and Adi Brande felt that there was a need for a commercial Israeli fine photography art gallery.

The Heder Gallery

A contemporary Israeli art gallery and multi disciplinary design studio

The "Heder Gallery" is part of the "Heder" concept group that consists of 'The Kibbutz, Art Gallery' was founded by the Kibbutz Movement Federation shortly after the Six Day War in April 1968. Three years later differences of opinion between the bodies responsible for the gallery led to its closing. Thankfully it was reopened in April 1973 and in 1977 it was decided to appoint a professional director to the gallery.
In the early eighties the gallery's curators and managers changed a number of times.
The crisis which plagued the kibbutz movement undermined the gallery's standing in the Israeli art scene and in the early nineties it was nearly closed again. The gallery’s turning point came in 1995 when it was decided to open the gallery to expose artists and experiments regardless of whether they did or did not have a Kibbutz background.
Since 2004 Yaniv Shapiro has been director of the gallery and it has focused on an obligation to art as an inseparable part of the discourse on Israeli culture and art.

The New Gallery

The Jerusalem municipality's collaborative contemporary art gallery

The "New Gallery" was established and is funded by the Jerusalem municipality, and is curated by Ms. Hedva Shemesh. Their are ten artist studios resident at the gallery which is uniquely located under Jerusalem's "Teddy" soccer stadium. The gallery presents rotating exhibitions on a regular basis.

The Water Works Gallery

An art gallery in Givatayim

In the mid 90's the Givatayim municipality transformed an old water meter manufacturing facility that had the historical significance of being a front for the Hagana's* first weapon's workshops into the municipal gallery. The Water Works gallery has been hosting Israeli art exhibitions ever since.
