I finally found some time to prepare a draft for the catalog for the next collection of prints I plan to display as an exhibition. The collection is called “Babes, Bibles, Bikinis and Burkas” and I think that the title is pretty self explanatory…
My good friend Galit Gaon is curating an exhibition of early Israeli comics created between 1935 and 1975. Spanning a period that begins before the establishment of the state, and indeed before the 2nd World War and the Holocaust, and ending after the traumas of the Yom Kippur war, this exhibition should give an interesting insight as to how the country perceived itself and what was considered “funny” during those early years.
I have collected here all the materials relating to my debut exhibition “Digital Zion” and attached my thanks to the many people that helped make it a reality.
“Digital Zion” is the name of my debut exhibition of digitally crafted pop art giclee prints.
The exhibition’s theme is contemporary Jerusalemite and Israeli reality.
It presents the social, political and cultural dilemmas faced by Jerusalemites and Israelis today as I understand them.
To view, review and purchase the prints that composed the body of the exhibition visit the gallery “Digital Zion“.
