The Rambam ...BAM! BAM!
"Moses Maimonides, also known as Rabbi Moses ben Maimon (Hebrew: משה בן מימון), the Rambam, and Musa ibn Maymun (Arabic: موسي ابن ميمون), was born in Cordova, Spain on March 30, 1135, and died in Egypt on December 13, 1204." source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maimonides
The Rambam - Rabbi, humanist, scholar, philosopher, doctor. This inspirational leader was truly a Renaissance man three centuries ahead of his time. He was also a bridge between Jews and Muslims in a time during which members of both faiths enjoyed a better rapport. Some have criticized me heavily and accused me of demagoguery yet I can't help but wonder what the Rambam, renowned for his compassion, would think of the hundreds of children killed during the last Gaza war.
The text in the upper left corner is a tribute to Pop art master Roy Lichtenstein.
The calligraphy in the lower right spells "Rambam" in Hebrew. The individual letters were lifted from a 12th century Hebrew manuscript penned while he was alive. 72 numbered and signed print
