Viennese Waltz

A number of years ago my sister lived in Budapest and I went to visit her on vacation with my best friend Noam . We have known each other since high school and rarely a week goes by that we do not speak on the phone or get together.

We took advantage of Budapest's relative proximity to Vienna and went on a day trip to visit the Hapsburg capital. The city was an incredible experience for me and put me closer to my German roots than I had ever been before.

We stopped to eat the sandwich lunch my sister had prepared for us in a small park on Vienna's central ring. As I looked skyward I saw a crane and a statue that seemed to be waltzing together.
