DollyAccording to Wikipedia: "Dolly, a ewe (July 5, 1996 - February 14, 2003), was the first mammal to be successfully cloned from an adult somatic cell. She was cloned at the Roslin Institute in Edinburgh, Scotland, and lived there until her death at age six...". I find it divinely ironic that the animal chosen for the first cloning project is also so closely identified with sacrifice. Despite my being a liberal and open minded individual cloning still scares the living daylights out of me.
