Self Portrait From BelowThe photo used for this self portrait was taken by me inadvertently while extracting my camera from my bag. The "draped veil" illusion at the bottom left of my face and the odd angle of observation both owe their existence to the poor quality and unintentional nature of the original photo. I find gratification in our innate ability to innovate and extract the best out of what may at times appear to be a disadvantaged position. Art, like opportunity, is everywhere. Sometimes Art, like science, happens by way of a happy accident. It is up to us to uncover and illuminate it. I belive that art is an innate quality of the universe similar to mass and energy. The artists craft is to record, research and relay the Art of our surroundings. Art is quantum - it owes its existence to the observer, and has a range of probability, rather than an exact position.
