Venus?

I worship female beauty. I find women to be the crowning glory of God's magnificent creation. We'd probably be doing a whole lot better if he'd arranged for them to run the place...

My Mother's lifelong struggle with anorexia has often made me wonder how as a species, after spending 7000 years refining our perception of the female ideal, have only succeeded in replacing the ideal presented by "Venus of Willendorf" - an ideal that celebrated life, birth, and motherhood, with the ideal embodied by the anorexic glitterati of our present day - an ideal that worships frailty, disease and ultimately death.

Believe me when I tell you, from my own unfortunate experience, that their is nothing beautiful about anorexia. It is a sinister, evil and tragic disease, about which little is understood. It is contagious, futile and deadly. I hate it.
