Pale HorseA print of the Pale Horse ridden by the Antichrist - dread commander of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The pale rider on his pale horse. Interestingly enough while researching the subject I discovered that this well known interpretation of the Pale Horse actually ignores much of the imagery presented throughout the book of Revelations. Everywhere else the colour white is used in the Revelation, it is always representative of righteousness and holiness, and therefore the pale horse can be interpreted to represent the righteous and the holy, It is in fact, Christ's steed . The composition is arranged so that only the forequarters of the galloping horse are visible, leaving the horseman himself to our imagination. Nothing I could create is as terrifying as the uknown. The building consumed by flames in the background is the Hungarian parliament I photographed while on vacation in Budapest. One thing that always amuses me about this print is the fact that the image I used to create the fireball in the foreground was actually produced by my old crappy camera due to a faulty light meter.
